Fiona was resently appointed as an Ambassador for 2007 International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).
IDPwD is a worldwide United Nations sanctioned day that takes place on 3 December each year. IDPwD celebrates the achievements, contribution and experiences of people with disability, and brings together people with disability, non-government organisations, businesses, all levels of government and the wider community.

SEDA is a national organisation, providing Seeing Eye Dogs free of charge to people who are blind or vision impaired. Their Mission is to enhance the mobility and independence of blind or vision impaired people throughout Australia by providing Seeing Eye Dogs, mobility training and rehabilitation services.
Fiona is a Patron for the charity, using her profile as an elite athlete to raise awareness about the charity through media publicity and motivational speaking engagements.
